Starting from October 1, 2023, the Central GST (Third Amendment) Rules, 2023, bring important changes to GST compliance. Here’s a breakdown of the key amendments:

(ii) Online money gaming from outside India to an Indian person is now covered by tax rules.
(iii) New rules outline how to value online gaming and actionable claims in casinos.
(iv) Special considerations are specified for certain cases involving online money gaming.
(v)There are new procedures for submitting returns for online services and online money gaming.
(vi) Provisions related to online money gaming from outside India align with the CGST Act.
(vii) Forms for registration are updated to include online money gaming and online services.
(viii)A new form, GSTR-5A, is introduced to record details of online services and online money gaming.

Businesses and individuals involved in online gaming and information services must comply with these rules to ensure smooth operations and avoid penalties within the GST framework.
