GST Notification – 02/2024:

In simple words, the government has decided to give more time to certain registered businesses in the districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi and Virudhunagar in the state of Tamilnadu to submit their GSTR-9 and GSTR -9 return for the FY 22-23. The new deadline for them to file the return is the 10th of Jan, 2024. This decision was made based on the recommendations of the Council.

The new rule becomes effective from the 31st day of Dec, 2023.
