Arup has worked with e-commerce start-ups and in education, long before they became cool. In his 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and channel development, he has also worked extensively with the print and digital Media and in IT solutions and service sales.
Arup started his career in media sales before joining IRIS in 2002 where he worked in content and digital sales and managed alliances. In 2004, when financial planning was still taking off in India, Arup moved on to FPSB India to head their sales and marketing team. At FPSB, he was instrumental in roping in 50 financial institutions to join as charter members. He also developed a strong network of 25 education institutions offering CFP certification education programs across 60 centres with an enrolment of more than 12,000 finance professionals.
In 2008, Arup returned to IRIS. In his second innings, he leads IRIS sales across all products and services and has played a key role in the rollout of structured data services in the Indian and global market.
Arup is an MBA in Marketing from Pune University and a Graduate in Mathematical Statistics from Delhi University. He lives with his wife and two kids in Mumbai. Arup is a news junkie and keenly tracks domestic and international politics. Defence and aeronautics are his other passions.
